Parent-involved therapy for Challenging Behaviour

A parent-supported approach to reduce conflict and build stability

   Children with challenging behaviour often experience underlying stress, anxiety, or difficulty regulating emotions. What looks like defiance or outbursts is often communication of need. Parent guidance is key to responding effectively and creating lasting change.


We can work together in two ways: weekly in-clinic sessions for steady skill-building or full-day in-home immersive intensives for real-time, hands-on support.


I use play-based intervention (informed by Child-Centred Play Therapy and Filial Therapy), as well as talk-based support (informed by Collaborative and Proactive Solutions) to meet your child where they are developmentally.

Therapy Options

Weekly In-Clinic Therapy

  • Parent-involved, attachment-based sessions
  • Steady, gradual skill-building
  • 45-minute sessions
  • Ideal if you want ongoing, consistent support
  • Builds consistency and confidence at home
  • Practical strategies to use between sessions
  • Supports parent confidence in responding to behaviour


Price: $150 per 45-min session / $185 for 55-min intake

In-Home Immersive Therapy

  • Full-day, in-home intensive
  • Rapid momentum with hands-on coaching
  • Combines 2.5 hours parent-only coaching + 2.5 hours parent-child work
  • Ideal if you want rapid skill acquisition and real-time feedback
  • Builds confidence, regulation, and flexibility quickly
  • Includes a 45 minute follow-up session + optional ongoing virtual support/further home visits as needed
  • Supports parent confidence while addressing challenges in the moment


Price: $1,460 (includes initial intake, full-day in-home session, follow-up, and travel within Cambridge)

Is this the right fit for my family?

  • Weekly therapy may suit families who want a slower, steady pace.
  • In-home intensive therapy may suit families who want hands-on, in-the-moment support.
  • Families can combine approaches—for example, weekly sessions with an occasional follow-up intensive.

Common Concerns

It is normal to have questions and concerns. I am here to help.

Kids are deeply supported the entire time. We work at your child’s pace and use playful, connection-based methods.


That’s okay. I build safety gradually and have multiple strategies that help them feel comfortable.


We check in early. If the model isn’t right, we pause with no pressure.
